REPLACEMENT HANDLE – for Krumpholz hoe with round eye – 130 x 4.1 cm – ash handle no. 1670
Replacement handle made of ash 130 x 4.1 cm. For Krumpholz hoes with a round eye for easy pegging, additional fastening material is not required. The handle is conical. The head is simply slipped on from the thin side and hammered in tightly. To additionally strengthen the stability, the handle can be watered at the head end after being hammered in. This causes the wood to swell slightly and the joint becomes even more stable.

Hint for stemming
The hoe must be assembled on site. The handle is conical. The head is simply slipped on and hammered tightly. To do this, hit the handle with the attached head several times in a vertical movement (from top to bottom), e.g. on a wooden beam or squared timber. Due to the negative acceleration when the handle head hits the squared timber, the head of the hoe “slides” stably onto the thickened handle head and closes positively. To stabilize the compound you can still water it. This causes the wood to swell and the connection between the head and handle becomes even stronger.
