In 1954, Franz Dietrich Güde takes over his parents’ business and invests more in production equipment in order to maintain and develop the business in the era of increasing automation.

1983 marks the beginning of the era of Dr. Karl Peter Born.

The grandson of Franz Güde takes over the management of the manufactory and consistently leads it back to its origins. Small quantities and the highest quality standards. Function-oriented design and sharpest blades are his claim.
