The digging fork or spading fork from Krumpholz has four forged and slightly curved tines. The ash handle is embedded in the blade via a metal shoe.
The digging fork is used for loosening and digging around the topsoil. Compared to the spade, the tines are much more stable and can be better used for leverage. The tines do much less damage to plant roots than a continuous spade blade. Unlike the spade, it also reduces the fragmentation of beneficial earthworms, which play a significant role in the formation of humus in the soil.
Hand-forged garden tools from the German tool manufacturer Krumpholz. Krumpholz has been forging since 1799 and is still family owned. The garden tools are forged from Swedish steel at the highest quality level. Durable, resilient ash wood is used for the wooden handles and grips. Best quality for the highest demands in gardening.
Care instructions
Dry off after use. Storage in dry and unheated rooms, barns or garden sheds. When stored in heated rooms, the stem dries out and loses elasticity. The stem can then break more easily than with proper storage. If necessary, lightly treat the handle with wood oil or simply linseed oil.
