Krumpholz – Scarifying rake with 140 cm ash handle – No. 1429
Forged scarifying rake with pointed blades for aerating lawns and also for weeding beds. The blades are used to score moss, lawn thatch and shallow rooted weeds and loosen them from the lawn. When scarifying, the top 2 to 3 millimeters of the turf should be worked.
Dethatching aerates the soil, removes dead organic material and makes the lawn grow thicker and greener.
In beds, the rake can also be used excellently as a weeding rake or weed rake. Here he removes weeds and cuts their roots when penetrating deeper. When ripping up the soil with the scarifying rake, the topsoil is not transported to deeper soil layers. Earthworms, fungi and bacteria remain and continuously increase the humus content. This process can be supported and enhanced by appropriate organic fertilization.
