Replacement handle in ash 110 cm. For hoes with an oval eye for easy pegging, additional fastening material is not required.
The handle is conical. The head is simply slipped on from the thin side and hammered in tightly. To additionally strengthen the stability, the handle can be watered at the head end after being hammered in. This makes the wood swell slightly and the joint becomes even more stable.

Hand-forged garden tools from the German tool manufacturer Krumpholz. Krumpholz has been forging since 1799 and is still family owned. Spades, shovels, rakes, hoes, weeders, planting trowels and many other useful garden tools are forged from Swedish steel at the highest quality level. Durable, resilient ash wood is used for the wooden handles and grips. Best quality for the highest demands in gardening.
Hint for stemming
The hoe must be assembled on site. The handle is conical. The head is simply slipped on and hammered tightly. To do this, hit the handle with the attached head several times in a vertical movement (from top to bottom), e.g. on a wooden beam or squared timber. Due to the negative acceleration when the handle head hits the squared timber, the head of the hoe “slides” stably onto the thickened handle head and closes positively. To stabilize the compound you can still water it. This swells the wood and the connection between the head and the stem becomes even stronger.
Care instructions
Dry off after use. Storage in dry and unheated rooms, barns or garden sheds. When stored in heated rooms, the stem dries out and loses elasticity. The stem can then break more easily than with proper storage.
