Spades are the perfect tools for trenching soil and digging planting holes. Forged treads optimize power transmission and protect footwear and feet. Krumpholz spades are forged from particularly strong and tough carbon steel and are significantly more durable than, for example, spades made from rather brittle stainless steel.
However, Krumpholz ‘s spades can also be destroyed via excessive leverage. Basically, the larger the blade, the less suitable the spade for levering. The primary function is to cut the soil. Levering is possible depending on the blade and the force applied.

Care instructions
Dry off after use. Storage in dry and unheated rooms, barns or garden sheds. When stored in heated rooms, the stem dries out and loses elasticity. The stem can then break more easily than with proper storage. If necessary, treat the handle with a wood oil or simply linseed oil.
